"ICE departure program an absurdity"

Tina thinks a new Immigration and Customs Enforcement policy is "absurd."

Ms. Griego usually believes in the power of the government to solve society's problems. For instance, the government should provide free health care to all.

She, like most believers in the government, fails to make the connection that the some government that manages the "absurd" ICE program will also manage her utopian health care program.

Once Griego, and others like her, realize that the government is institutionally incapable of efficiency and efficacy, they will become libertarian.

When they do, they will do far more good for the downtrodden than they are now by promising them government programs.

There is an absurdity here. And it is not just with ICE.
