Salzman complains that 850 AM KOA radio runs a one-minute commentary by Rush Limbaugh every morning, but does not run a liberal counter-point.
The sub-head of the commentary is "News-time commentary raises fairness issue.," a reference to Nancy Peolosi's threat to re-impose the "fairness doctrine" to radio and television.
The "fairness doctrine" would dictate programming on over the air broadcasting from D.C., and take it out of the control of local markets. This, of course, in the name of "fairness."
I'll tell you what is fair: If you can sell ad time for it, broadcast it. The end.
