"State regulators have a mandate to let new taxi companies compete"
The headline says it all.
Right now, the three existing cab companies in Denver have used government to prevent any further competition from entering the market.
There is no good reason to prevent competition. None.
Every reason put forth by the cab companies boils down to one thing: They don't want competition.
