The cover story on this week's Westword, Denver's “alternative” weekly tabloid, is on real estate developer Craig Nassi.
Nassi is responsible for three prominent Denver buildings, including the Beauvallon, an expensive condo with street level shops.
The story chronicles Nassi's legal troubles with several people who bought his condos. He has been sued several times, and the Beauvallon homeowners' association alleges Nassi sold them substandard units with fancy facades.
Not many people interviewed for the story had much nice to say about Nassi - Except for his friend Jay Chadron.
Chadron says Nassi is “just smart putting deals together. They're a bunch of idiots that keep signing.”
With an endorsement like that, Nassi should have new buyers lining up for his next project.
